We refer to HRD Corp Employer's Circular No. 3/2026 dated 18 August 2026. In conjunction with the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, HRD Corp has introduced a patriotic opening for training programmes receiving its financial assistance.

With immediate effect until 16 September 2026, all employers and training providers conducting programmes with HRD Corp financial assistance are required to play patriotic songs at the beginning of each training session. This applies to both physical and online training.

The idea is simple. Developing Malaysia's workforce is not only about improving skills and competencies; it is also about strengthening unity, national identity and a shared sense of responsibility towards the country. For a few minutes before learning begins, participants are invited to pause, remember what brings us together and start the session with a little more Malaysian spirit.

What must be played at the beginning of each session?

Both of the following songs must be played in an orderly and appropriate manner before the training session commences. HRD Corp has also provided the official RTM materials for members to use:

What should employers and training providers do now?

To ensure smooth and respectful implementation, we suggest that members take the following steps:

•  Update the programme agenda and facilitator run sheet to include the two songs as part of the formal opening.

•  Download both videos in advance and test the room audio or online screen-sharing function before participants join.

•  Brief trainers, facilitators and participants so that everyone understands the arrangement before the session starts.

•  Apply the requirement at every training session identified in the programme run sheet, including sessions conducted online.

•  Keep simple evidence of implementation such as the agenda, facilitator checklist or an appropriate screenshot or photograph, in case of HRD Corp monitoring or verification.
